Turnips in Progress @ 399 bells each (02.25.2014—CANCELED AND CONCLUDED)

My second town of Progress is selling turnips with Reese in Re-Tail for 399 bells each.

I wish it were in the 500s, at a minimum, but I will open for anyone in need.

My town's clock is a Thursday before 12:00 p.m. So, it's morning. I'm a little reluntant to let it go to 12:00 p.m. because the price change, rather than become raised, might actually lower.

If anyone wants me to open, let me know. (The 3DS is off.) I would be willing to run this today and tomorrow [Monday and Tuesday 02.24.2014 and 02.25.2014].

I'm going to keep checking in on your prices and see if they go up a little bit. Not that it's a terrible price- cause 399 is pretty good. I just want to make a nice profit!

It depends on which spike pattern OP has:

Taken from Thonky (examples are from my experience with TTing to change turnip patterns)

Large Spike Pattern:
The big spike pattern features a decreasing pattern, but then there will be three increasing prices, with the third being the maximum for the week, followed by two decreasing prices that are still higher than average, followed by a continuation of the overall decreasing pattern. The maximum price in this pattern is always preceded by two increasing prices and always followed by two decreasing prices, so the maximum can't occur on Monday or Saturday.

EX: Mon - 76, 73// Tues - 69, 67// Wed - 123, 154// Thurs - 456, 140// Fri - 124, 73 (decreases from here)

or

Small Spike Pattern:
The small spike pattern features a decreasing pattern, but then there will be four increasing prices, with the fourth being the maximum for the week, followed by a decreasing price that is higher than average, followed by a continuation of the overall decreasing pattern. The maximum price in this pattern is always preceded by three increasing prices and followed by one decreasing price, so the earliest that the maximum can occur is Tuesday afternoon and the latest is Saturday morning.

EX: Mon - 60, 58// Tues - 56, 53// Wed - 103, 109// Thurs - 146, 195// Fri - 100, 67 (decreases from here)

Honestly, you could just TT to 12PM to check the price. If it's lower then TT back to 9AM. The 399 price won't change unless you go backwards a day or more. Going backwards a day or more changes the turnip pattern.

I went to [Thursday] at 12:00 p.m., and the Re-Tail price went down to 145 bells each.

I then TT'd back to [Thursday] at 09:00 a.m, and it is back to 399 bells each.


The "Large Spike" price doesn't have a definite day time range. Last I hosted from Progress, it was best 12:00 p.m. and after.

I had it on the game date of [Tuesday, Feb. 18]. It was in the high-500s. That was in my original town of Applewin, after 12:00 p.m. I hosted it in January. And, with actual time, I welcomed guests for a good week. (This was before I bought a second 3DS console and "Animal Crossing: New Leaf.")
