I want to get back into roleplaying again and I want to start small, so I've created my own. Just a simple Animal Crossing roleplay for an Animal Crossing forums.
Finally, the mayor called for the animals to step away from the station. The new faces were exiting the building, they needed room! Finally, after what seemed like ages, a group of figures showed themselves to the crowd. The animals gawked in surprise, an awkward silence hanging in the air. These folk weren't what they were used to at all. No fur, no feathers, not even scales. Instead they had flesh, and full heads of hair too! And why were their ears on the sides of their heads, and not on top or even on their head at all? They were like monkeys without the tails and muzzles and fur.
The humans were shocked as well. They stared at the crowd of bipedal animals, blinking with confusion. What were these things? Animatronics? Fur suits? Giant stuffed animals? These creatures couldn't possibly be real. They were too adorable and bobble headed! What exactly had they been given on that train ride?
The Maplleaf citizens didn't know what to say. They just stood and stared for a few seconds, pondering what to do or how to feel about their new inhabitants. The only animal that wasn't baffled was the old shriveled mayor Tortimer. He had a warm, welcoming smile on his face and as he hobbled towards the humans he cleared his throat.
"Welcome to Mappleaf!" he croaked in a deep, friendly voice. "I'm Mayor Tortimer! Pleasent to meet'cha. Over there's my assistant Pelly. Say hi, Pelly, to our new friends here!"
Pelly the pelican smiled awkwardly and gave a quick wave with her wing.
"I can tell you're not used to see us animals talking and walking around like this," the mayor continued. "But trust me, we won't bite and we definitely don't have fleas or anything! So don't worry! Heh heh horf!" He winked at a nearby wolf who didn't look too amused.
"But anyway, introduce yourselves! C'mon, we all want to know a bit about 'cha! Even if you do look a little... strange, I gotta admit. Heh heh!"

The great big town of Maplleaf was expecting one the biggest move-ins they've ever had. So many citizens were having houses built for, it was unbelievable! So? Will you introduce yourself as one of the new human residents of Maplleaf? Or will you listen to what your future neighbors will have to say as an animal member of the town? It's your choice!
In this roleplay, expect the usual Animal Crossing shtick with bug catching, fishing, etc. Make sure to bond and interact with your neighbors (fellow roleplayers)! There will also be special ceremonies, festivals and tournaments as well as a flea market. This roleplay is mostly based off of Wild World and City Folk so there are no New Leaf-exclusive characters. Hope you enjoy this roleplay, however long it lasts!

[*=center]Try to make your characters as detailed as possible, please! That way it's more fun to play with them.
[*=center]This rule is obvious but it might as well be said. No perfect characters! Everyone must has positive and negative points to their personality.
[*=center]100% Animal Crossing canon! No magic powers or anything. Just whatever is included in the game, you may have.
[*=center]You can play as already-existing villagers from any game from the series, New Leaf and Gamecube included. You may not play as NPCs like Tom Nook or Tortimer, although I may change this rule in the future.
[*=center]If playing as an already-existing villager, please evaluate on their personality. Don't just put "lazy" or "uchi" or "smug". Just add little quirks so that not everyone is the same. And also, don't be dictated by the already-existing personalities. If you have a female original villager character and don't think their personality falls under normal, snooty, peppy or uchi, then that's perfectly fine!
[*=center]You may have as many characters as you think you can handle, just don't get too extreme.
[*=center]Romance is awesome but don't go too far! (Although this is another fairly obvious rule....)
*This should overall be a simple and laidback roleplay so not many rules will (hopefully) be necessary*
