I don't know...

Well, anyway, during the summer I mow lawns and I can usually wrack up about 250-300 dollars.
But I'm not sure what I should spend it on, a 3DS or an iPod 4...

What do you guys think? I mean, I already have an iPod Nano, but....

That's quite a hard one as they both play music, they both have an Internet Browser...
Hmm...
I would probably say, personally, the Nintendo 3DS due to the iPod 4 cannot do 3D

3DS. Just wait until the 5th Generation iPod. It's generally a bad idea to buy Apple products too long after they've been released, because that just means they'll be outdated sooner.

In regards to the 5th gen iPod... if he was going to be mowing lawns in the summer to get the money to purchase said iPod or 3DS, then the 5th gen iPod would be out right around when he had enough money as Apple always releases new iPods in September/Early October.

Oh, yeah... XD

Still, if it were me, I'd get the 3DS this year and the iPod next year. Besides, iPods can't display 3D graphics!

How do you know the 5th gen one can't?!?!
Touch?.

Though, I doubt it will as long as it keeps its touch screen, which I certainly don't see going away. The main reason why Nintendo didn't make both screens 3D on the 3DS is because touch input + 3D displays don't mix very well.

Not that you need 3D anyway... I mean, what's going to happen? OHHH your album art is flying out at you! LOOK AT THE AMAZING 3D!

That's true, lol. 3D doesn't really add all that much to a phone. Though it would add depth to many iOS games and apps. But a touchscreen is more important than 3D in terms of functionality.

i lold

i'd say get a 3ds, unless you don't have enough space for your music/videos on your ipod (being a nano. however, nanos now are bigger than when i had mine, 2 gigs)

if you're gonna buy an ipod, i would strongly recommend you buy an ipod classic if you have any interest in using it as a music/video player. it's just smart, imo. get a hard case, and it'll last you for years (mine's going on what, 3, i think?).

if you only want it to play games and do silly internet things, the choice is obvious. but, i don't recommend touches in any sense of the word.

Plus, iPhone > iPod touch.
