This is probably a stupid question, but I need help setting down pathways. I know how to put them down and what not so that's not the problem.

My problem is, I see all of these towns that have pathways with sides, corners and even water pathways surrounding some of the pathways, but if I tried to do any of that I wouldn't have enough room to save even half of those patterns. Basically my question is how do you guys put down all of these pathways with flowers and water and make your town look so nice when there is hardly any space for patterns and you can't overwrite them without messing up previous patterns? I just don't understand and I really need help. :c

I found out yesterday that, in order to do ALL of the patterns I want, I need to make secondary/tertiary characters.

Also, many of the patterns that have flowers on the edges are within the same pattern. My mayor character currently has a full path pattern (with corners etc) and that took up all 10 patterns. If you're looking to use more than 10 patterns, you'll need another character ><!

No problem (:
I had the same problem yesterday and did a lot of googling xD I almost broke all of my paths T_T

If your paths are going to be only two squares wide both directions you may not need another character. You can just use the sides for vertical and horizontal paths. If that makes sense. If you want corners and all you will need to make more characters. Just be aware you'll have to go through the process of unlocking the qr machine for any character, which takes at least 5 days.

i believe it takes 10 days, not five ^^'

If you do decide to go with the QR code route then there's a load of sites that have path "sets" with all the corners for you to scan :)
