Tropical Villagers

Keaton comes to mind, as does Julia (but I'm biased 'cause she's my favorite snooty). June and Plucky also have tropical vibes, but they feel more beachy to me. Annabelle and Pango could also work- Pango's coloring and design feel quite exotic, and Annabelle's a pangolin, and at least some species of those live in trees in. And any tigers would probably work, too. And Drift looks like a poison dart frog!

I think the koalas are great! Also, O'Hare he's not totally tropical but he's got that whole tourist vibe, Annalise, Flora, Hazel, June, any of the octopus villagers, and maybe a couple of the kangaroo villagers, but they're kangaroos soooo
Thank you so much the only villager I was able to come up with is Flora so this helps a lot!

Anabelle, Tangy, June, Pekoe, Freckles, Keaton, Boone, Apple, Annalise, Canberra, Lyman, Bud, Marina, Octavian, Flora, Julia, Gala, Genji, Caroline, Bangle, Rowan, Tybalt, Audie.
There doesn't seem to be anywhere near as many male villagers that give tropical vibes. But all of those ones definitely gave me that vibe.

Anyways, I'm sure you could Google tropical rainforest animals and match up villagers just based on species.
Off the top of my head, frogs, monkeys, anteaters and jaguars come to mind.
So thumbs up to the people who pointed out Drift, Pango and Shari. If you want a jaguar, I think Leonardo is your closest option.
Wait...having a Planet Earth flashback...I think some species of rhino live in tropical rainforests as well, so those could be an option for you.
I think Papi might work as well.

Took a quick look at a list of animals found in a rainforest and here are some that match the in-game species:
Alligators: technically it’s crocodiles in the rainforest but alligators are a good enough substitute, Alfonso, Boots and Sl
Anteaters: the giant anteater lives in the rainforest and looking at images and the villagers in the game I’d say Antonio looks the best one here
Eagles: the harpy eagle lives in the rainforest, there isn’t really an eagle in game to represent it but Apollo seems to have the right colour scheme if you don’t mind the fact he’s the wrong type of eagle or Amelia could be a good choice as I believe she’s representative of a bird native to South America (not sure it’s found in the rainforest though!)
Frogs: as others have said Frobert and Drift would be good for a rainforest due to their similarity with the ones that live there but Camofrog could blend in well too and he has quite a suitable house interior for a rainforest vibe
Gorillas: a lot of gorillas live in the rainforest areas of Central Africa so a villager from this species could be a good choice, Boone could be suitable to represent a Mandrill or Cesar, Louie and Peewee could be good options for their relatively plain designs
Monkeys: agree with the suggestions of Shari above who looks quite similar to some rainforest monkeys but some like Monty or Simon could pass as some species of monkeys found in rainforests
Tigers: Bangle, Rowan and Tybalt are the most similar to the tigers found in the rainforest while Leonardo could be a good choice
