Trees not growing?

So I planted peaches near Flo's house (in hopes that it will beautify her remote location) but when I checked this morning they have all died. The ones I planted near Zucker's house were perfectly fine. How is this possible?

If it helps, Flo's house is quite near the plaza but I made sure the peaches were planted far away so that they will grow.

It's a place where trees and bushes just won't grow. But I don't know :3

How many trees had you planted that day? I think the limit to the number you can plant each day is 10?

The fame does have dead spots which randomly change. However, trees will not grow immediately adjacent to another building or object, except flowers or bushes.

I planted Nine on that day. The first two near Flo's house, whilst keeping a space for growing.

you have to be able to walk around a grown tree completely.. if it's directly next to a river/house/pwp/rock/cliff/another tree it will not grow. if you can run around it and it's still not growing, chop down a tree in the 7x7 area. if you have too many in that area, ones you plant there won't grow. and finally, if both of these issues have been addressed and it STILL won't grow, keep planting it every day. it could be a dead spot that changes, but i'm not sure. it never hurts to try though good luck!

oh and in my experience the 10 tree a day thing isn't true.. here's a pic of 12 i planted yesterday..

Include some photo's of the area. Put down some alternating patterns to clarify the space between trees and surrounding buildings, bushes, cliffs and houses.

Thanks for debunking that, and with picture evidence no less! I don't know where I've heard about the limit, but it might be from a previous AC instalment or flat out wrong. Or the limit is higher, if there is one.

Could be the pattern that you planted them in. In my experience there are some patterns that the middle trees wont grow in. Example

The middle one will not grow in this pattern.
