Transferring digital to physical

I have the ACNL 3ds that came with the digital in it. That is my original town and I don't want to lose it. I've recently purchased the new 3ds and would like to have my original town on a physical cart. Is this possible? If so could it be transferred to an ACNL cart that had the upgrade done to it? (Thank you)

There's no official way of transferring a save data from digital version to physical. You'll have to keep playing the digital version of the game in order to retain every progress you've done so far.

Keep in mind that you can perform a System Transfer from any of your 3DS to any New 3DS model. I recommend going for Low-Capacity if you can't get the microSD card read by your computer. Keep in mind, once you transferred to any New 3DS model, you can't transfer your data to any older 3DS model.
