I have an SD card that's breaking, so I'm getting another one later today. Since I use 2 SD cards, I was wondering if you could use this method to combine data from 2 cards to 1.
be very, very careful. i tried doing that and then the my new sd card wasn't recognized, so i had to start over. thankfully i had no valuable stuff on my old sd card.
Make sure your new SD card is larger than 32gb. If it is, you will be forced to format it (which really isn't worth the trouble because you could potentially screw up your new card & it's not worth all that $$$$). I accidently bought a 64gb card at first. I cut my losses & just purchased a 32gb.
Anyway, I used that method to transfer the data I had on the original SD card to my 32gb. I don't know how well 2 SD card transfers to 1 will work..
The 2nd bullet point on the notes said:
Do not swap between multiple SD Cards, or swap your SD Card between multiple systems. Use one SD card with one system and be sure to follow the steps below if transferring content to a new SD Card

I bought an SD card from Nintendo itself. I followed their method and everything went smoothly. Of course I was nervous of something going bad. I kept my old SD card incase anything bad would have happened to the new one, But I never swapped it.
However, I'm not sure how getting two cards into 1 may work. My best guess is that you completely transfer one over, and if the other SD card is the same, just transfer the game files over only? I'm not exactly sure.
