Train station upgrade

So, I was wondering something. I know someone with a ds and he lets me get on it and play his acnl. I'm actually doing a lot for his town at the moment. Now, I know that if you get 1000 visitors, (I think), you can upgrade your train station. Now, could I do this in a day with that one person? Or does it have to be a bunch of different people visiting?

You can do that with just 2 3DSes and a bunch of time. So you could do that with one person. Some people like to offer 10k bell bags for each time someone visits their town.

to upgrade your train station, 100 people have to visit your town and it can be the same person. so you could use someone's 3ds and game to upgrade your station, although it is tiring to do it by yourself. i did this before, so i'm speaking from experience. LOL

I think it's only 100 visitors.
You could invite people to sell turnips or just visit yourself constantly.

but yeah, a lot of people on here are willing to visit your town if you need help! so you don't have to do it by yourself. :>
