So my villagers are telling me what they want for Toy Day, and Ankha asked for an "outfit".
Technically that means clothes pants shoes the lot, but villagers never wear anything except a top, so is Ankha just asking for a shirt? Or does she want a set of something (e.g. Jinbei set) even though she won't wear all of it?
Villagers will give you 2 clues as to what they want Jingle to bring them for Toy Day. When Jingle does arrive, there will be one item per villager in the bag. It is your job to guess which item goes to which villager based on the clues they have given you. Usually the clues are a color and a type of item (clothes, funiture, carpet, whatever). Hopefully you can get them to tell you both clues before Toy Day arrives.
I like using the 3ds's Game Notes to keep track of this.

Ah I get it now! I thought you had to find presents for villagers yourself, but if Jingle assigns 10 presents to you then I'll know what's meant for Ankha.
2 of your villagers will probably ask for an outfit, that is why you need to find out their 2nd clue (color) to know which one goes to which villager. Just like 2 villagers might ask for something blue (or some other color), but you need to know what the other clue is to know who gets what.
