Town design tips?

okay so I've been playing animal crossing for years now, and a lot of people have these really amazing towns! I really want to design my town so that it's cute and I'll enjoy playing the game again, but I have no idea where to start!

do you guys have any tips? >v<

I'm so irritated with how my town looks I'm considering resetting completely, but I feel like I should at least try to make it look nice before doing that~

Fairytale pwps, cute patterns, pink white flowers, pattern your town so people move in spaces you want. Lots of fruit trees and normal trees. Cutout standee. Maybe theme some alt homes like a bakery and a toy store. Ect. Reset if you hate your map though.

I recommend first laying down paths to connect all the areas of your town, to get a general idea of where everything you want may go. After that is done, work on one area at a time! When you need new inspiration, take a visit to the dream suite to see what designs you like more. It is a LOT of work but once it is complete you will love your town so much more. If you don't like where your stuff is at though, a fresh start is always helpful. Before placing your permanent PWP's make sure you do the pathway and decide where you want all your villagers. I literally put green QR paths all over my entire town in the beginning so I could keep my villagers where I wanted them. Good luck!!

hmm I might need a reset in general. how do I know if it's the overall map that I have a problem with?

aa thank you for all the helpful advice!! I'll definitely put down a lot of pathways and stuff to start figuring out where I want everything to go~ I'm thinking of possibly resetting though.. I have no idea what to do
