Town Color Scheme

Hello! I'm trying to make a foresty town that will work in all seasons, what should I do?

Definitely the Red, I feel like in the winter it would look a little washed out with the white but the red will stand out nicely. The colors will also work really well in the fall when the trees are changing c:

I think the gold, black and white would look so cool. Having the theme stay monochromatic though the year with the changing colors of the season makes sure nothing clashes (I personally hate the pair of red and pink, so cherry blossom season with red colors makes me cringe like crazy). As for dullness in the winter, you should have plenty of cedar trees for those pretty, colorful lights!

The combination with red would work more in winter/fall rather than summer/spring (also would make me think of the German flag, but that's probably just me).

I think that as long as the villagers or houses add color, the black, white and gold would be more versatile as far as seasons go :3

I know your post just asks for one, but why not have both (the red one in fall/winter, the other in other seasons) if you're going to be actively playing the game? I guess it might be a bit of a hassle to plant if you have lots of flowers...

I would personally go with white, black, and just a small smattering of gold in spring and summer, then white, red, and the gold in fall and winter (red goes well with the fall and it stands out in the snow). Basically, you'd be switching out black for reds, and you can sort of imagine them to be cool colour-changing flowers

Oh, sorry, I don't know why I thought you were talking about flowers! lol
I guess you can't really change villagers' houses or anything... Then I would go with the first option!

I prefer the red, it would look very nice with the forest theme. I have a red brick path actually and I LOVE how the red compliments the other surrounding vibrant green colors.
