Torn Between Two Lazies...

I’m having a real dilemma, one that’s lasted several days now. I have two lazies on my island — Spork and Erik — but I need to move one off so I can invite Apollo on to complete my personality roster.

Here’s where I’m stuck: Erik is a dreamie of mine, but I’ve become super attached to Spork since he’s been with me since I started playing. He also encapsulates the lazy personality perfectly, with his starter home’s dirt floor, and obsession with food and bugs.

I have Erik’s Amiibo, so I can kick him off and invite him back no problem. But it’s still such a tough choice since I wanted him to be on my island for so long.

Has this happened to you? How did you decide what to do?

Personally, I would keep Spork if you have Erik’s Amiibo. Plus, you never really see people having Spork every day and he is a nice breath of fresh air throughout all of the Raymond’s and the Sherbs. xD

But yes this has happened to me many times. I have a big love for my snooty villagers.

Keep Spork since it appears that you have more attachment to him. Also as you've said, Erik is simply a tap away because you have his amiibo. So can actually wait a little longer until you have someone else you want to move out.

I have so many villagers I wanted to keep on my island but at the same time, I wanted to meet new ones. So I am constantly having this dilemma. So, I aim to get their photos then let them leave to give myself a souvenir.

You can keep Spork on your island, and invite Erik to the campsite every day so you can see him and spend time with him!
That's what I personally do.

By a strange coincidence I had the same dilemma.I got Spork as a starter and I have Erik's Amiibo card too so I was gonna let Spork leave and replace him with Erik.But when it came down to it,I just couldn't do it.I have an all-pig town in New Leaf and Spork was the first resident there so I have a lot of history with him plus New Horizons Spork is so much like New Leaf Spork(maybe even a bit better)I decided to just keep him.

Amazing, that’s exactly my case! I got Erik’s Amiibo fully intending to replace Spork, but now that I’m ready to move one out I’m like There’s just something so endearing about the little pig...

I came across a similar dilemma, I wanted to move in Tutu and Wolfgang since they are my dreamies and I have their cards. But as my island started filling up I grew attached to my other residents. I let Tutu move out for one of my ultra dreamies and I never moved in Wolfgang.

I would say keep Spork, esp since you have Erik's amiibo. You can always move him in later. Plus, I think it'd more fun to have new villagers rather than the same ones from the past.

I was going to amiibo Lucky in, but really got to like one of my forced villagers, Claude.
I couldn't bring myself to replace Claude.

Sometimes we make plans, but life has other ideas.

Considering I have three lazy villagers on my island? It's possible to have both unless your heart is set on doubling down on a different personally type.

I don't have a particular fave lazy, but I also get uber attached to whoever is the lazy villager on my island at the time cos they're just sooo adorable.

I’m actually tripling down on normals... I have three I love to death and wouldn’t consider moving out at this time. Lazies are the only other personality I have more than one of Plus, there’s only so much “bugs in the floor” talk I can manage in a day lol.

I would also suggest keeping Spork! I love his house too! You can always invite Erik in any time!

I pretend I have an 11th villager by inviting the amiibo villager I wish I could fit into my town to the campsite every day :') I even decorated the campsite so it looks like the camper just moved in with all their stuff outside. Maybe you could do something similar @SmrtLilCookie ? You can move Erik's sleigh/other landscaping items to the campsite and keep Spork!

Ooh, I actually love that idea! Especially since a lot of Erik’s exterior design stuff is actually very natural themed (since I was going for an alpine look)

Spork is one rare villager that you don’t see often. I wish more uncommon villagers were popularized! There are many like him that have great potential but are looked past.

Honestly I’m leaning towards keeping kicking Erik out for Apollo, and then deciding later whether to do an Uno reverse and bring Erik back once I have all of the cranky specific reactions... why it is so hard to choose with these precious pixel friends?

IKRR i spend hours tryna figure out who I want on my island cuz theres so many cuties but only 10 slots rip ;-;
if you have erik's amiibo then def try that! ur the lucky ones who have the option of bringing them in whenever esp Erik

I believe that I might be in this dilemma soon. I found Lily on a mystery island and thought, she’s pretty cute and was the best looking villager (in my opinion) of all the ones I saw on the mystery islands that day, but I had no plans on keeping her since i wanted to try to get most of my villagers without amiibo cards even though I have them (i failed that since I already used three cards >< but nm that). A few months later, I have grown extremely fond of Lily and even with Kiki my favorite normal cat, my interest in keeping Lily has not diminished. I have plans to let her go because of the ant in her house that i can’t get rid of and the house interior with the wooden block furniture sucks (in my opinion); she was one of my first three villagers. But, then there is Lolly, who I am interested in because she is a cat and is a grey tabby just like one of my late cats (though my cat was fat and had a little fat pack but nm that). I have both of their amiibo cards. If i have one, I won’t have room for the other, especially since 3 peppies proved too much for me lol and I am not letting Kiki leave.
