Tomodachi Life time traveling question.

So my clock was set to July 7, 2072, and I thought it was a little mistake, so I changed the time. I went to Tomodachi Life, and I got a prompt saying that the items in the shops won't update normally and the donations won't occur for a while. I wanted to ask if the penalty for time traveling varies. I looked at some forums and some people said their penalty lasted a day or two. Last time my clock was at a different date, it lasted for about a week. Does the penalty vary or do we all get the same amount of length for it?

when you change the clock the effects of items not updating in the shop, at least to my knowledge/experience, only last about 24 hours. I've never had it last longer than that unless it went through the same problem with a "different time" more than once.

When I used to play that game, if I adjusted my time in any way, even to accommodate for time savings, you got penalized/punished. I remember waiting a week for things to go back to normal. Tomadachi Life went a little hardcore with this penalization tactic.
