Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Direct!

I’m excited for the game as well. It comes out almost one week before my birthday. I have ideas of what Mii characters I want to add to my Island. I’m going to make Jem from Jem and the Holograms plus Pizzazz which should be fun now that we can add face paint to the Miis and thus recreate the bold eyeshadow. Also thinking of add a few RuPaul’s Drag Race queens and a few other celebrities.

It seem all versions will have the same food. It's just when you start off it gives you whatever your region is familiar with. Like with the North American it was like nachos and cheese, a butter cookie, an apple and I forgot the others. Then later as we play we'll get different kinds of foods. I love this game already. So no more region locks!

They have a Q&A release today. It's interesting stuff: https://www.nintendo.com/us/whatsnew/

I read that interview. Why would they casually imply that Miis can live out of desks in an office and Not Elaborate

Like is it that they have a desk instead of a house???? or is their house inside the desk??????

My guess since the picture was taken during development. Maybe the desk are their homes and instead of them staying or going to them to relax, they go off somewhere else to hangout?

I figured it was just an artistic representation of the development team working on the game within the game. Sort of what Game Freak does in the mainline Pokémon games.

I am vibrating from excitement lmao I feel like a kid again! Tomodachi Life for the 3DS was an absolute hit when I was young and the demo has so much promise. My sister who is 12 years younger than me is experiencing the franchise for the first time and begged me to make her current hyperfixation character as a Mii (Bowser Jr.). I did it entirely using Joycons and it was surprisingly pretty good! The face paint is quite easy to use in my opinion and you don’t even need all the extra features.

Obviously it’s much more precise when you use a stylus and a touch screen, which is what I tried out when I dug out my old Switch Lite I haven’t used for 1.5 years. The demo functions very well on it, so hopefully the full game is the same. I guess I started rambling, but the point is I’m very excited and I love seeing all the Miis people are making with the extra customization. 🙌

I tried taking the day off today to play and get some errands done in real life, but I had too much work left and had to work a bit this morning and then had to play it between running errands, including while riding the train haha
But I was able to play for a couple of hours at night, and I’m now up to 7 Miis!
I’m going to wake up early tomorrow to play more :lemon:

Well I don't know how how it looked in other countries, but I have a suspicion that Nintendo doesn't care very much about market here and they just threw us way too small amount of Pokopia copies. But how it was possible for the game to be constantly unavailable in stores for a whole month after release, I have no idea.

And scalpers suck, I agree, but to be fair on second hand sites I only saw like 3-5 Pokopia copies available when I checked from time to time out of curiosity. So I think the main issue was very limited availability in the first place. I think with Tomodachi now it's a similar case, but I still hope they will restock soon 🥺
So yeah, it's still unavailable everywhere. There are only two stores collecting orders but for June! For June!!! What the heck Nintendo??? I've also seen some posts about preorders not being sent…

Because of all that I got the digital version, which is noticeably more expensive than the physical one and I'm not happy about it, but if I wanted to play now and not wait another month or more I didn't really have a choice. But at least I'm having a lot of fun with the game!

I wanted a fresh start so I didn't import data from the demo. I still created the same first three characters and it's sooo great to see all the interactions that weren't available before! I already feel like I have so much to do, maybe because it's just the beginning of the game, but I can only imagine that with more residents there will be even more to keep me busy. Very excited for tomorrow already!

i preordered and the physical version of the game got delivered today. i played for a few hours and it reminded me of how much i loved the 3DS game as a child.
