.. ): tom nook put 3 villagers in my island without me wanting them

i just started out, was there any way to avoid this ? could i have used nmt to put them in the 3 starter homes? i got really rEALLLY ugly villagers... nto even a single cute one....

Yeah, NMT could be used for the 3 starter homes! I personally used a few for them when I was also starting out.
So sorry to hear you get ugly villagers; I also had my 3rd villager home be left up to chance and got a super ugly villager lol.
wait til you get to the 6th villager though

Yes, there was a way to avoid this by going to islands and inviting the villagers you wanted, but there is no way to avoid whatever villager the game throws at you next via the campsite so just sit back and collect nook miles until you can go to isalnds that has villgers again.

Yeah. I believe it's supposed to be a smug? So cross your fingers for a decent one!
I unluckily got Hippeux, ew. I was so glad once I got to kick him out of my island. I remember placing his house all the way to the south of my island where I couldn't see him because he was that ugly to me LOL.

Which villagers did you get? Just curious. I forgot that Nook invites randoms too and he invited Hugh and Coco without consulting me, it could’ve been a lot worse in my case lol.
