Please forgive me if I post in wrong forum.
I am planning to collect Amiibo cards since they are capatible with acnl now. Does anyone know how they should be shipped so that they are still in good shape? I never done it before so any extra tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much:)

I've never done it. The post office thread probably has questions stickied but I never check it. Sorry I'm not helpful

All I've heard is you can mail them usually with a postcard

I checked there too, they don't have a lot of information about packing unless I miss something.

I would send them with a clear plastic card protector sleeve, you can buy cheap packs of them from ebay, or sandwich the card between two pieces of rigid cardboard. I hate it when I get cards that have just been put in an envelope unprotected, they always arrive dented or bent.

I've never sent them but I've bought some online before. Both senders reinforced the card by first putting it in a card sleeve, then sandwiching it between two pieces of cardboard, then putting it in a small plastic bag just in case the envelope gets wet (which one time it did cause it was raining on delivery day so rly appreciated that).

I always put it in a card and then have a piece of stiff cardboard in the card as well to prevent bending. I check by giving it a quick stress test before I put the card in there to make sure it'll be hard for it to bend. I also write "PLEASE DO NOT BEND" on the envelope :)

-Invest in some cheap yet sturdy bulk greeting cards (I went for thank you cards). Not only do you get envelopes, the greeting card itself adds reinforcement. Just a personal note: don't use cards with glitter as that stuff gets everywhere.

-Like others have said, invest in top loaders (protective hard plastic card holders). If anything else, once you start trading, you will end up with loads of them from incoming trades, so you usually don't have to go all out by buying dozens.

Doing both of these in tandem will ensure your cards are safe in the mail.

Other things to consider:
Make sure to have plenty of stamps just in case.
Print out your return address on address labels.
Have a list of cards you have for trade and a list of cards you want. List them by their card number. Update often.
Take pictures of the cards for the other person during a trade just to be sure they are what they other person wants.
Keep track of who is getting what. Document everything in case a trade doesn't go as planned.

For Series 1 to 4 all the cards got place in pro protector card sleeve. Those can be bought at the local comic book store.

Placed all the cards in the Amiibo hard cardboard package that the cards came in. You can cut that down to size so it fits in the envelope. Taped the top so the cards couldn't move around. I used the small bubble envelopes from the post office. Those are water safe.

To make sure you have enough postage go to the post office and get them to check it. I ask for a label instead of stamps. It's proof that they messed up if it gets returned. You could take a picture of the envelope to show the sender.

I've never had any problems with traders on this board. All the cards arrived in perfect condition.

Thank you everyone for all the wonderful tips. I have a small question, should I add tracking to those package?
