Tips on getting Gracie?

Gracie will be a random weekly visitor once you've met the requirements. She won't show up on a specific day. It can be any day of the week.
You must have spent at least 70,000 bells in the Nookling's shop before she will show up and you have to spend 100,000 and pass 4 of Gracie's fashion checks before the shop will upgrade to the T&T Emporium. It also has to be at least 30 days since TIY opened.

Once she shows up, there's a way to complete her 4 fashion checks in one shot but it will require time traveling. I've done this before in my previous towns and can verify that it works. I do not time travel with my latest town and it took me over a month before I completed her 4 fashion checks.
On the day that Gracie's in town, complete her first fashion check and if the theme is too hard and you want to skip, time travel back the same day to 5:59 AM and let the day roll over at 6AM. Gracie will be there again with a new theme and fashion check.
For example, today is July 23th. Travel back to July 13th at 5.59AM and then let the day roll over at 6AM. Once you get the new theme, you can then time travel to 10 AM to order any clothing items and to 5PM for the mail to be delivered. Pass the fashion check and then roll back to 5.59AM and repeat again until you pass all 4 fashion checks!
Just a reminder, when you roll back time to 5.59AM and let the new day reset begin at 6AM, the game considers 2 days have passed.

You just have to check everyday as annoying as it is, then do the tt trick. My theory for why it took so long to get her is because you only have one special visitor at a time and Gulliver keeps taking the slot because it’s rainy season and he always shows up after storms

It depends, I've never let a day passed before but if it's within the week than there's a possibility that Gracie might still be there. For example, Gracie showed up yesterday on Wednesday and a day past and it's now Thursday, a standard week has not passed, so if you travel back to 5.59AM on Wednesday and let it roll over to 6AM, Gracie might show up again (not sure if this method will work but this is the method for getting unlimited new arts from Redd's Gallery, since Gracie and Redd are both special visitors, it might be applicable)
