Tips on catching the mole cricket?

I'm trying to catch this thing and I can't seem to pin down where he's at so I can dig!
Can it spawn under trees/bushes/,clover, flowers or qrs?
Mushrooms? Can it spawn under mushrooms? I want to catch the crafty bugger (pun intended) but I don't want to destroy my town!
and of course, we're between to sea and the river so I can't hear diddly, anyway.
Please advise.

alrighty, I've managed to dig it up twice, but the first time, I got stuck on a rock and the second, Gladys pinged me and ran in the way. "GLADYS! you poorly rendered pigeon! MOVE IDIOT"
Mole crickets are surprisingly quick.

I caught the wee devil! Now I can ignore for the rest of my life.

As far as I know, it can't spawn under anything. So if you have a lot of patterns or flowers around and you hear the sound, you'll just have to dig the empty spots to find it

Thanks! DO you know if you can corral them with holes or will they disappear into them?

I don?t think they?ll disappear into the holes. When I caught one, I just kept walking around until it sounded the loudest and if I dug in a spot where it didn?t come out, it didn?t go away or anything. I could just keep digging until I found it
