I am looking for something really cute and adorable for my path, but I also want it to look pretty close to the natural grass in the town. Like a natural kawaii look. I am not sure where to look or even how to begin path making, I have the machine, I am just clueless on what colors to use.
Personally, I think dirt paths are really cute, and you don't have to fuss with designs. That leaves your slots free for clothing and signs and stuff! Plus, if you don't like how part of your path turned out, just give it a few days and it'll grow over.
ellesanimalhaven on Tumblr has a series of posts explaining the creation and maintenance of dirt paths, and you can also see them in use by visiting the dream address for her town, Kokoro.
I've seen a lot of people use alternating clovers and a single mossy stone for their paths. It's cute and still natural-looking. Let me see if I can find the path they use, and I'll edit when I find it.
Hmm, I got mine from tumblr and one of the animal crossing websites, it's grey with petals. I think ones with the brick flooring and a greenery boarder around would look nice for the natural grassy colour theme, anything earthy tone would be okey too
You can find tons of paths at acnlpaths on tumblr. They have every post tagged with the type of path so it's super handy. Keep in mind you'll probably need at least a second character to hold patterns since a good chunk of them can have more than 10 altogether.
But like others said, you can also not use any paths to get the natural dirt path look (and have more room to hold clothes patterns and stuff). Try placing flowers to create your path so you know exactly where to walk and eventually it'll turn to dirt.
I personally use no more than 2 patterns altogether for my path since I don't want to keep switching between characters in case I change my mind and it's just faster imo. I use 3 for water paths and then have free space for the rest. :3 But it all depends on whether you want to hold a detailed path or go simple, both are fine! Do what works for you and if you like it, that's all that matters.
