Tips for getting villager pictures?

Cube has been in my town since July, and I still can't get him to give me his picture, even though I pretty much have everyone else's three times over by now!
I give him foreign perfect fruit whenever he asks for fruit, I catch the best possible fish and bugs for him, I send him a lot of letters with wrapped presents attached, I give him customized spotlight furniture when he asks for furniture, I get signatures for him in other towns...basically, I do everything he says the best that I can!

Do I just have bad luck? Is there something I'm missing that would make my life easier?

Kinda strange since he's been there a while and you've been giving him the good stuff, but if you can't get his pic from requests, luckily there's always april fool's day!

On April 1st you can get all of your villagers pictures by playing the game with Blanca.

Ah, thanks! I didn't know you got villager pictures from the April Fools Day event!

I thought for sure Cube would give me his picture on his birthday, but no luck (╯_╰)

I also have gotten them randomly (when friendship level is high) when I run past them and they indicate they want to talk (also have had them sell me art for museum). Also, I have gotten Rudy's picture by bringing him medicine when he was sick. So, run past your villagers. Make sure you have the volume on because sometimes they are behind buildings or trees and can't run up to you quick enough and you might just keep running. Listen for that "bling" and talk to them. They always give me stuff or ask for favors.
