Some people use it for the diving trick.
Go far out in the ocean {wetsuit needed}, set the Timer for 5 minutes, and wait for the time to be up. Then, swim to shore, and a villager should ping you. It's usually used for PWP requests.

One person burries the timer, and the other 1 (or 3) people have to dig it up before the time runs out. It's pretty fun

It was used more in past games when the island wasn't there for bug catching contests etc. I personally haven't bought one in this game yet and i probably won't since if i want to play games i'll go to the island and do tours with friends

I use it for hide and seek, mostly. Back in WW and CF my friend and I used to have fishing/bug catching competitions. I'll have to try time bomb though, sounds fun!

Idk why I never thought to use the timer for that since I do that all the time.

Otherwise, I hardly use it. But the time bomb idea sounds fun, I'll definitely play that sometime.

I use it for this too, Tour practice I call it, or I challenge my friends to see how many they can do as well.

I've never really used it. I might start using it when I start doing the diving trick, but when I've done it in the past I've always been fine just using the normal clock to check. It's a good little tool to have if you play a lot with other people though, I can see how it would come in handy for things like hide and seek and practising for tours. I would probably use it if played more with other people besides just trading and such, which I don't at the moment.

Time bomb is really fun! Yeah I use it to play hide and seek, time bomb, diving trick for pwp's, and also giveaway events letting participants dig up as many goodies as possible that I have buried for 10 mins!
