Time traveling question

Soo I wanted to time travel forward to Jan 1, 2014. But I forgot to change the year and travelled BACKWARDS to Jan 1, 2013. If I don't save and reset the time will my town still recognize the time change? I don't want to travel forward and lose all of my dreamies. If not will there be any repercussions from playing in the wrong year?

Did you do an in-town clock change? And did you enter your town? If so, you went back in time and you can't change that once your town has loaded.

I did a DS clock change and I have entered my town!
