Time Traveled Too Far Forwards (Looking for Advice)

Hi, due to my quest for dream villagers I've time traveled two weeks forwards. I've heard that TTing backwards only counts as one day, so if I return back to the actual date will it be as if only one day has passed? Will it affect the move in date of the villager I asked to move to my town? Thanks in advance.

Moving backwards any amount of time will only count as 1 real day in the game. It will affect the move date - the TT back counts as 1 day. Take the amount of days you have left until a villager moves and subtract one to get the remaining amount of days left until they move. If you have 5 days before a villager moves and you TT back, you'll then have 4 days until a villager moves. Dates will change with TTing back.

Yup! Interesting how Nintendo incoporated time traveling backwards to count as 1 day instead of the amount you actually do go back in time. But I guess that is only the logical representation of tting backwards verses forwards.

Just remember you can't "undo" things by TTing backwards. Anything you do in your town is permanent.

The other day, I went forward only one day, and talked Epona out of moving.

I went back one day to the right day, and talked Wolfgang out of moving. :-/

Nothing is set in stone.

Unless you talk to them every day, it isn't safe to assume nobody will move.

I agree with this now, after my experience today. Joey pinged to move, I said no, saved and quit, went to settings and changed the date to one month earlier, loaded the game, immediately saved and quit, set date forward one month to current date, then loaded game again. (this is the short version of the grass regrowth trick, btw) Joey pinged to move again, I said no and went to check mail. Phoebe was gone; she left a letter saying goodbye. As many times as I have done the grass regrowth trick, no one has ever moved out before. "It isn't safe to assume." Not sad about Phoebe; I have her amiibo card. She will be moving back in on Thursday! Might take a bit because I erased all my patterns, but, c'est la vie!
