I haven’t time traveled until recently and don’t plan to after but while I’m here I need help. I tt’d to get Kidd in boxes for my partners bday! But now I’m in the 6th of next month and don’t know how to get back. Can I go back to May 23rd at once or go back one day at a time? Are there any negative effects by doing it all at once? Thanks time travelers!

As long as your partner has already talked to the villager to invite them onto their island if you time travel back you're good to go. No need to go one day at a time c:

i would definitely invite whoever you are going to invite to your now open villager plot, or let a random villager move in properly - like all 3-4 days of the move-in process (the previous villager in boxes move out day, the open plot day/plot sold if you invite someone to your town, the random villager plot sold day, and the final move in house built day) BEFORE you time travel backwards!

TT backwards in any way during the move-in process has been known to glitch villager houses. this is a non destructive glitch - it doesn't harm anything but it does replace the moving in villager's house exterior with the previous' villagers'. if this happens to be something you want, feel free - but the safest way is to move forward day by day, entering the game, saving and exiting, to ensure no glitch occurs, for every single day of the move in process. once they move in fine, then you can TT backwards without worry.

& yeah, the game treats ANY amount of TT backwards as if you moved forwards one single day, so no need to worry about anything happening in excess there.

good luck!

Thanks so much for the tips! Will heed your advice. :::)

That only happens when a villager is forced out via an Amiibo or campsite. The OP is fine to do whatever with no ill affects.

oof, maybs i'm wrong! but i followed the previous thread really intently and made my own on it to ask some questions and people who hadn't done either of those (or TT for that matter lawl) said they experienced it! just going on what i've heard, no personally experienced it either way, here :geek:
