Time travel and Redd

I’ll admit... I do time travel. (Only a few days but still)
I’ve seen Redd two times since the update and only bought art the first visit in order to get the museum upgrade.
I look for him daily but I haven’t seen him in a whiiile.
Is it likely I messed up the game due to time travel?

There are 8 traveling NPCs and 6 days they can spawn in.
Redd has a lower spawn rate than other NPCs such as leif who I think has a high spawn rate.
I've managed to get him multiple times while TTing it's all up to the rng.

I don't time travel and I also had him on the island twice since the update (I mean, twice as a roaming seller; thrice if you count the first time he appears selling an original painting to open the museum art gallery).

It's ok, folks. The spawn rate is normal. Redd spawning once a week is good and makes sense. There's a lot of NPCs.

You have to manually check the secret beach every time. There will be no announcements nor hints about his visit.

One time I didn't have Redd the whole day but then at night around midnight when I went back into the game he appeared? I'm not sure why that happened but I've gotten more art and statues from by villagers than from Redd

After since the update, I only saw him once!! is my game broken? I dont do time travel...
For those who saw him multiple time, what time does he show up usually?

When you do find out that Redd appears on a day:

You can farm him by TTing back to 4:55 am that day, letting it roll over onto 5am naturally and reset the day. Redd will appear again with a new stock, and you can buy from him again! Did that like 5 times today XD

If Redd doesn't show up in a week, you can go back to Sunday and then check through the week again. I think TTing to Sundays resets who will appear on the island during the week. I've found that out and I've pretty much been going a day forward after Redd appears and back to get most of the artwork.

Thanks for this trick. What I've been doing is TTing a day forward, then back. This approach is a huge time saver.

You can also check your map on the nook phone. If Redd is there, you'll see his symbol over the secret beach.

I think I've only seen Redd twice since the first time he showed up. It seems it's definitely going to take a long time for me to fill up my museum, but I don't mind. The two times I've seen his icon on my map has been quite the dopamine rush.

I've been TT for the campsite trick and when I stopped and when I was doing it, I never saw Redd. I haven't seen him since the first time I could go on the ship. Rudy gave me half the wild painting, which I hoped would trigger Redd returning after donating it, but I'm 99.9% sure it's fake.

Aaaand I went in to gaze at my new Audie's house and Redd was suddenly there. He wasn't earlier.
