Time Capsule

I accidently dug up a time capsule which I buried for one my villagers several weeks back. And there was no option to re-bury it (why not!? ) so in order to keep my inventory clear I had to open it.

I'm not sure what the time capsule does. Will it have some sort of dramatic impact on my relationship with the villager down the road?

If you're able to dig it up, it means you give it back to them. That's the point of the capsule.

Villagers get mad when you don't return it or return it opened, but that's it
