Green weeds!! Does that mean that the grass will turn green soon? I long for spring so I hope so, been too long with the snow for me at this point. I should still make some snowmen to get all the DIYs, but... I honestly don't care that much. I just want spring! Developing an island seems weird when there's snow everywhere...

Aside that, finally got around to getting a wet suit. Of course, by the time I was ready to use it, it had started snowing, but I'm not about to let that stop me. I kept putting it off cos I vaguely recalled disliking diving for creatures, but it really wasn't that bad, even met Pascal, who gave me the recipe for a mermaid wall in exchange for a scallop.

I'm terrified of the wasps, so this feels like a genuine achievement as sad as that might sound. Though truth to be told, the biggest victory in this was be remembering to equip my net before I shook the tree, and not after, which is what I normally do, and why I always end up getting stung by them. Gonna miss having things to donate, been fun having the "Yes!" pop up all the time. Though, soon it will be spring, so there will be more bugs.

Speaking of donating to the museum though, tomorrow I won't really be able to donate anything, since I finally decided to start diving Blathers decided I have done so much work for him that we need a cafe! So he sent me on a hunt to find his good friend, who will arrive soon.

It was Pate's birthday today! As always, who was her best friend surprised me, Cephalobot has lived here a lot shorter than people she has lived next doors to for nearly two months, like Sherb and Coco. But hey, as long as she's happy. I gifted her rainboots, which she loved.

We celebrated the café opening and Brewster joining us. Now the island can be as caffeinated as I am. Brewster is one of my favourites from this game, cos he reminds me of my husband, so seeing him always makes me feel happy.

I got one more creature to dive for that goes away after February now, hopefully I'll get it so I don't have to wait until it comes back around next winter. The fish and bugs that go away are all done at least.

Yes!! It is GREEN!!! (well technically mostly yellow, but whatever it counts) I'm so happy, I've been getting so sick and tired of the snow. I already live in a cold climate irl, I don't need the snow in my escapist tropical-ish island lasting as long as the snow does back home. Which, funnily enough, is also melting today, by some weird chance.

Have been working towards this the past few days. In the end I decided to replace Klaus. I'm sorry my dude, I just don't like you that much, so once Cephalobot arrived your days were numbered. Also means I finally have a snooty, so at least there's one of every personality. Octavian also asked me if I thought he should move today, I told him no, mostly because I want the next mover to me one of my three normals, I'd rather have two of a different type than that many normal villagers...

Been moving all the villager housing to the beaches so I can start terraforming. Currently the map looks like this, not too different from when I started out, aside the little jumps I added. I have like the faintest idea of how I want it to be, so I think I'll have to sit down with a pen and paper and draw some of the ideas out, if I just get started on things in game I will get lost for sure. Spent most of this evening diving, still got no Sea Pig, but at least I got the red king crab. Also surprised I got two new fossils, only got around 5 until I have them all!

Also gave the hotel visitors something slightly more spring like to wear, the big coats looked a little off now that everything is turning green.
