Thoughts on Kid Cat?

before anyone says that i shouldn't have made this thread just know that i have been looking for a long time for a thread like this with no luck so this is my last resort.

Anyways, Kid Cat is in my campsite. I personally am not a big fan of the jocks but Kid Cat was one I've always liked, but the thing is I already have a jock Hamlet, I have no smug, and I also ALREADY have 3 CATS!! I'm not really looking for an all cat town by any means, I guess I just sorta like the cats in acnl which is ironic cause I don't really like cats in real life. but anyways what do you think? should I convince him to move in or should I keep resetting?

He's overrated, to be frank with you. There are other better jocks there, like Rudy. But if you want, keep him then sell him afterwards if you want some bells.

Kid cat is better than big top. Anyway, if u want him, then yes, go for it. Better than regretting later. If u think u don't like him after getting him to move, u can kick him out anytime. Considering if he's not ur tenth.

Get Kid Cat and let Hamlet move out to replace him with a Smug eventually. Three cats is far away from being an all-cat town.

Kid Cat and Big Top are both wonderful villagers. I had Big Top in CF as a forever villager and Kid Cat in NF as a forever member. I say bring him in, enjoy him and if you decide he isn't your cup of tea, let him roam free. He was an original villager in my first NL town and that is how I met him. He won me over immediately due to his cheerful and enthusiastic nature. Good luck!

About the Jock thing: I have three. So I guess multiples of the same personality can still be fun! And Kid Cat is a really rad villager.

Now if you end up with multiple of the same villager? Whole 'nother thing entirely...

Not a massive fan of the Jock personality but Kid Cat looks great and I wouldn't mind him moving to my Town. I have three cats as well and wouldn't mind a fourth moving in, there some of the best designed villagers in the game.

Kid Cat's cute, but I prefer Hamlet over him in terms of Jock villagers.
I personally prefer not having too many of the same animal or behaviour type in my towns, so I know I wouldn't take him if I were in your situation.

But, my roommate has Kid Cat and yeah, he's pretty darn cute.

i love kid cat to death, I think he's one of the best jocks and well worth the hype, even though he's gone down a bit in popularity lately. my sister has him in her town and he's such a cutie! but I think you're probably better off continuing to reset -- if you've already got a jock you like and you need a smug, plus you've already got two cats, you might end up regretting the decision to keep him.​

I wouldn't worry about how many personalities you have (unless you are trying to get all PWP's). I don't have a peppy and I'm either going to get Kyle (second smug) of Wolfgang (3rd cranky).
kidcat in my opinion is quite overrated. I love Bam or Pierce from the jocks. I got Kidcat from the campsite after I lost out on bidding for him. I just didn't enjoy the whole super hero look as much as I thought I would
I've got 3 octopi, 4 deer and 2 wolves in my town right now. Soon to be 3 wolves....
Not really going for a theme or trying to get several of the same species, it's just how it happened. I wouldn't worry about that, you like who you like....if there happens to be several of one animal in your village, as long as you are happy with them it doesn't matter at all

Personally, I never really liked jock villagers, but you should always at least have one of them for the public work projects. There are very few of them that are good looking when it comes to the jocks, the jock category of villagers does not have many good ones. For example, my jock villager is Cousteau he fits my town and I pretty much won't be getting better.

Hamlet is a really nice villager, Kid Kat does not compare to him. But as it is your town, it is entirely your choice. Cheers!

Kid cat's okay, i'm not really a big fan of him. I imagine him to be that kid that always asks if you have games on your phone LOL. Aside from that he does have a really nice design i'll admit, he's also a great addition to the town if you want to include the superhero trio. we dont talk about rocket

I have his Amiibo card for HHD. I think he's really cute, especially with the adorable squeaky jock voice.

Kid Cat is one of the cutest jocks imo. c: The only reason I hate him is because I got him as a random before and he plotted right in the freaking middle of one of my paths, which annoyed me so much. :c
But now that you mentioned him, maybe I should get him again. o: I am so jock-deprived.

he just moved into my town. I was planning on just letting him roam until he moved because he's not someone i want. but idk, reading the responses here I might talk to him and feel him out.
