So, is there a list that seasoned players have put together about the pros and cons about town layouts and what to look for? Kinda like this thread, but not quite. I'm sure there are some things that are "common" knowledge to seasoned players, but I'm still learning all this stuff, so I'm curious as to why you pick what your criteria in a map is. ^_^;
ex:
I found that on my curvy map, the vertical river is the best because there's no way for trees to block the view of your bobber when fishing.
Pro: This enables you to plant more trees without it getting in the way of fishing.
Con: However, most maps with vertical rivers, this cuts the beach in two which is an undesirable trait.
Some people like Re-tail close to the dock for island runs, but this makes it far away from the other shops or the station.
