Hi everyone, I am new on the forums and just recently started playing AC.
I love this game so much but I tend to run out of things to do at night when the shops aren't open for bussiness or anything. What do you guys do when it's night? Cheers!
If you play at night a lot I'd strongly suggest you set your ordnance to Night Owl so your shops stay open longer, that helps (but you will have to watch out for wilting flowers).
Otherwise there's not much to do by design... might be a good time to do some landscaping, tree and flower arranging in the town possibly?

I had Night Owl for ages - I've got Beautiful Town right now for unrelated reasons and I really want to go back to Night Owl. Yes, they do open later - I believe ReTail's hours become 9am-midnight and everything else opens at 10am.
Night Owl does not affect stores' opening times, only their closing times. The same is true for Early Bird, except with earlier opening times and unaffected closing times.
If you have villagers you don't like in your town, you can hit them with nets, bury pitfalls in front of them, or bop them with hammers. Be sure to save your game before harassing them and turn it off after.
