There's something about Katie

So I wasn't sure if anyone knew about this..and then someone suggested that maybe I should post this on the New Leaf thread..Katie was in my town for the first time today and asked me to take her to another town. We get on the train and she drops a piece of paper on the ground and goes back to get it..as she picks the paper up, the doors close behind her and me and the train leave without her...I end up showing up at other person's town empty handed..I return back to my town to look for her but she's long gone by then..so yeah..that's what happened...I bet Katie gives her poor mom all kinds of gray cat hairs..

She does this if the person's town you are taking her to has her already or maybe has her on the way or possibly even recently. I say possibly because I haven't studied it extensively. I have had this happen a lot though.

I havent had this happen to me, but it's commonly reported. You will still get a letter and gift from her.

I have had this happen in towns that get katie a lot - so maybe the town you were going to was going to get katie soon...

Yeah, that happens when she is or has been recently in the town that you're taking her. It has no effect for you as she "takes the next train" and sends you your gift
