themed town help!

okay- before i get started on tbt, i wanted to get some opinions. i was pretty active on tumblr through animal crossing blogs, but i haven't played in such a long time and have the urge to get back into it. i've never actually had a themed town before, and i'm pretty excited to start one! i just need a bit of help with what to do about it lmao. right now i have two ideas.

idea one: beach / ocean themed town!
> possible villagers: octopi? i need help finding other villagers to fit this theme :;(∩?﹏`∩);:
> town exterior: boardwalk pathways, bright colored flowers (mainly blue and white), lighthouse, etc.
> houses: mermaid exteriors? furniture has a wide variety of ocean-themed sets so i should be more than okay on that end.

idea two: food themed town!
< possible villagers: this is basic and obvious. but! tangy, zucker, merengue, coco, sprinkle, etc.
< town exterior: pretty pastel, lots of pinks and maybe yellow paths, candyland-esque kind of?
< houses: sweets exterior set, as for furniture i'm not that sure. maybe themed around kitchens. def gotta have the lovely set in there somehow.


i'm leaning more towards the ocean town, but i'm open for anything really! even ideas that aren't these two. any help would be appreciated, especially villager suggestions! ♥︎

The ocean idea sounds pretty nifty, I've not seen many towns themed around that so it'd be really cute to see. I love the idea of the bright flowers and the light house! I think both ideas are nice but thats what I would go towards!

And ideas for villagers would be maybe:
Flora: I mean flamginos are quite exotic? (I know they don't live in the sea, but they seem so tropical to me.)
Keaton: Another bird but! He looks tropical too, kind of like a parrot (And his house is themed like a beach!)
Coco: Shes a coconut, 'nuff said.
Bud: I mean, just look at him, he was designed for this kind of town B)
Any kind of monkey villager, especially Nana, shes cute ♥

I really hope this inspires you to get back into playing, I've just picked up my DS too after months of not playing! I would love to see how this turns out when it's done! Good luck & have fun! ♥
