explained</big></big></big>
Introduction
The date is June 16th, 2007. Fabio Biancarelli is a bored young man. So he thought of a plan. A brilliant hoax to deceive all of The Bell Tree into thinking he was part of some sort of Nintendo viral marketing campaign... Or something even bigger. There were a lot of people who thought it was a joke from the beginning. A LOT of this I hadn't even planned, and people were misleading themselves constantly.
Many of you weren't here when this event happened, but I can assure you that it was one of the craziest Bell Tree moments I can recall ever happening, and it goes down in The Bell Tree's history as one of the strangest events ever. Here is the link to the original topic. I suggest you read through it.
For those of you who were present for this, I'm going to explain everything right here. Please, bear with me; this is going to get long and complicated.
The whole truth
It all started with numerology. I've always had some sort of strange interest in it. Of course, I was bored this day, and I decided to create a hoax that would involve me with a Nintendo marketing campaign, and I'd post it on The Bell Tree.
The day was June 16th. I decided that the number '16' would be my focus. I got to work thinking of a way to begin all of it, and I ended up with this word:
'soulbears'.
Do not ask me how I got that word.
I Google searched images of bears, and I got this image. I typed the URL in the stomach of the bear, and so it began. (Inverted bear picture can be found here.)
Next, I created the Freewebs page. I added the Home text:
"11welcome to the bears hommepage! this site will have 1everything on bears, from where 24they live to 16what they eat be 24patient, there will be loads more info here24 ASAP!
-site maker,
greg (aka gregory the16th)"
A few things to point out:
The background image:
When inverted, has 'soulbears' on it.
I added a Guestbook (just for ****s and giggles), and the
'bear pics' page. This page contained a single photo of a polar bear against a strange, desert-like background:
I found this on Google randomly. When inverted, it displays the 'soulbears' logo.
Now for a few clear-ups:
So, eventually, the second site was discovered. The 'd??' title meant nothing. But the 'go to 19-15-21-12' did.
Take away the dashes, and it lead us to the new page.
The URL displayed in huge letters on that page is no longer functional (the host shut down), but it displayed a *censored.2.6* counter that I inserted. At the end of it, I was going to reveal something.
A new image was revealed when the counter hit zero. It was, in fact (as speculated) an enlarged Dark Samus. (From the side view) The squiggles I added were nonsense and a distraction to throw people off. The Dark Samus was purposeful to make people believe it was a Metroid Prime 3: Corruption viral campaign. Image here.
Shortly after this, my boredom streak ended, as did the thread.
Everything that wasn't listed here wasn't done by me and was either a false lead or wrong speculation by the users. I can't recall where I was going with the rest of it.
It was great fun, and I loved every second of it. So there you have it, things from my point of view, to the best of my memory. Thanks for reading.

A few things to point out:
- Stormcommander speculated that 'greg (aka gregory the16th) was named after a king. He was, indeed, correct.
- The numbers in the text (11+1+24+16+24+24=100) was a clue to the next website URL, http://www.freewebs.com/100soulbears.
- The rest was nonsensical.
- The 2006 copyright date that everyone made a fuss about was coincidence.
The background image:
When inverted, has 'soulbears' on it.
I added a Guestbook (just for ****s and giggles), and the

I found this on Google randomly. When inverted, it displays the 'soulbears' logo.
Now for a few clear-ups:
- All of the numerology that Propaganda Man was doing throughout was pure coincidence and luck on my part.
- I made this second site as we went along.
- I was viewing the thread with the 'the16' account at the time, as you'll see in the thread.
So, eventually, the second site was discovered. The 'd??' title meant nothing. But the 'go to 19-15-21-12' did.
Take away the dashes, and it lead us to the new page.
