Hello! If any of you saw the gamecube port for the wii u unveiled, this is basically what this is about. But its also a lot about how the gamepad is becoming rather uncomfortable for me to use, I possibly just have weird hands, but does anyone else find it uncomfortable to use for any amount of time over 30 minutes??

I never owned a gamecube,but the remote has interested me for a while, to those who owned a gamecube, or atleast the remote- what do you think of it? Is it comfortable for long bouts of playing??

As for the pro controller the 80 hour battery life is tempting, but really as long as its light and easy to use for say, a 3 hour play session, I'll be happy.

Basically what do I buy, This;

Apart from that, Will any of you be getting the smash edition gamecube controller??

Sticking with the Wii U Pro Controller myself. No point in getting the gamecube imo since the analog triggers aren't going to be utilized in Smash Bros. Wii U. I'm not competitive enough to care about ms of wireless lag either.

If you wish to access to everything that your Wii U offers (including Wii menu), I'd suggest getting yourself the second controller you mentioned that attach to your Wii remote. And while you're at it, get a good rechargeable battery pack or deal with changing AA batteries every now and then. The amount of time it'll last for the former depends on which you'd get, and the latter is known to last between 30 and 60 hours.
Also, I suggest taking a habit of removing the batteries out after finishing playing. The Wii remotes can suck up the battery's life real fast if you leave them after weeks of non-usage.

If you can't get past of the battery's issue, go get the Wii U Pro Controller. Though, you won't be able accessing to Wii Menu and its library of games.

Right now, I don't know if there will be other titles than Super Smash Bros. for Wii U that would support GameCube controllers. If you're not truly into the competitive scene of that game, then hold out on purchasing these until more games support these controllers.
