You basically buy part of a company. Someone who buys stocks is called a share holder.
You try to buy stocks when they are cheap, and sell them high. To buy and sell stocks, there's a 4% fee added t it. For example, if you buy a stock for $100, then you would really pay $104 for that share. When you sell it, 4% is taken away. So to break even, your stock must have gone up 8%. To make a profit, it has to increase more than 8%.

i HAVE the stock app on my iTouch.
Nintendo has been going down while Dow Jones and just about everything else is going up.

Yeah. At the end of the month a bill is sent to you showing you all the things you purchased with the credit card.

Yes.
I did the credit card bills with my dad once.
They tell you everything on what you spent, when, and where.

Exactly.

And if you know what you're doing you won't lose any money.
There's something you can do so that if you lose money you can get back what you lost.
I'm not quite sure how to do that yet because I'm just learning, but there's a way.

And I suggest you guys not go into the stock market until you know how it works and all the terms. And of course, have money.

i dont get the stocks....
A stock is basically a part of a company that you purchase.
So basically you can become an owner of a small portion of a company by buying their stocks, and then you can sell them back when they're worth more and invest.

Except a lot of people have high stakes riding on the stock market. College funds, for example.
