The "old fogeys" of ACNL (20+)

Yeah, apparently that's old, at least from what I've seen of the members here. xD;

So I was thinking about starting to compile a friends listing for those of us who are a little older to play together on ACNL. I haven't decided if I should put people's FC in a spread sheet or what, since I'm not sure everyone wants their business out there, but my thought is post a little bit about yourself and make some friends. Maybe some things you like, how often you play, what you're looking for in friends to play with.

I'll start

I'm Sheepy, I'm 27 years old and a college junior, majoring in Advertising with a minor in Communications. I'm big into music (former vocal performance major) as well as writing, role playing--pencil and paper games like D&D (my husband is actually starting a business with a new tabletop game that you should totally check out in my sig shameless plug done) as well as text-based stuff online--video games and travel. I'm also the very happy mom to two adorable kitties. I also play League of Legends most evenings and love making new friends that way too, so if you also play let me know!

I'm looking for just about anyone to play Animal Crossing with, really! People who like to hang out, possibly a little more on the nerdy side. Fellow college students are always a plus because then we can commiserate about exams and homework and whatnot. You can find my friend code just under my name. Oh, I do time travel, if that bothers people, I totally understand. I do it more to get ideal villagers than shops or money.

I was quite surprised to see there were other over 60's in the poll so I don't feel quite so alone any more. I want to seriously sort out those friend codes I have and try to get people who are not in their teens or even younger. I am a grandmother who plays AC every day and mostly throughout the day much to disgust of husband. I am on European time zone but often interact with Americans who play late as we meet when I get up in the morning. I would be delighted to add any old fogeys that are reading this thread?

uh so i guess i belong here. i'm 31.
i draw art freelance for a living and acnl helps me kinda keep my sanity when i'm working on the same comic page for six...ten...fourteen hours at a time.

it also gives me a chance to interact more casually with some of the people who buy art from me, which i really like.

i started playing animal crossing back in college (i graduated HS back in 2001) with my roomie. we went freakin nuts on the gamecube version during our sophmore year, to the point where when one of us would leave for class the other would take over on the game until they got back and we'd switch again. so i have a lot of fond memories of it!

i played wild world for a while til some ex-friends who, in spite of being in their 20s still had the maturity of 11 year olds, entered my town while the gates were open and trashed the place. then i bought a new DS, and since i couldn't transfer my old town to it and pick up the pieces, i kinda let it rot.

i bought a lot of the bread for the animal crossing movie when it was coming out in japan (i worked there for several years) and my students were all pretty amused that i liked it. my old computer had a tortimer sticker on it.

I'm 25 and I have recently finished an honours degree in social science. I actually couldn't believe I could really get into animal crossing, I didn't play wild world much, but I'm really enjoying new leaf and it's been a great way to meet new people online. I'm actually quite surprised to meet a load of mature gamers so far, regardless of age. It's been a great experience so far and I'm sure I'll have plenty to write about in my upcoming blog (Well, when I can figure out how to set it up) sometime next week.

I'm so glad I've got into animal crossing at long last.
