The Legend of Zelda

Hey everyone. I've never played a Legend of Zelda game, so I need your help. I'd really like to know a game to start with and, if possible, an order of how I should play the games. I just don't want to be confused with the story. I don't have any old Nintendo systems, so I'll have to use the Wii shop channel to get old games. Thanks everyone!!!

Lol I don't know. I guess I wasn't really around for the older systems. I borrowed a NES, I think, from my Cousin, then got a Gamecube so I never got to start. I've wanted a game for a while, but I thought I'd have to start with the older games. Anyway, once I make money I'll get the Ocarina of Time.

For a beginner I reccomend Twilight Princess. When you hone your Zelda skills for a few years then try Link to the past.

There's quite a big story to follow, I would highly recommend Zelda: A Link to the Past...

I'd have to say that Zelda ALTTP started the great series and Ocarina of Time perfected it and Twilight Princess made it realistic.

There is no timeline that's the problem. Nintendos the only one that knows what it is. You don't need to follow a big story between the games because they all follow new stories and the connection between them is small.
Get Twilight Princess, it's great for a beginniner because it's one of the easier of the games. Don't get Link to the past first trust me, if anything it's one of the hardest.

Buy Ocarina of Time off of the VC, its a very good starter. Well some people do have trouble with the water temple.

Hmm, there's not really a set plot in terms of sequels, except perhaps Windwaker and Phantom Hourgladd. Play windwaker before Phantom Hourglass as it's sort of a continuation.

Twilight Princess was really good, as were Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask. I've been a huge zelda fan since as long as I ca n remember. The games are well worth it.

Really. Start with Ocarina of Time. Its the best, and it will get you hooked. Just dont give up when things get though (WATER TEMPLE)

Timelines shimelines.

It really doenst make a difference if you follow the timeline.
You cant tell, it just small changes.
