Does anyone know if there is a way to re-plant island trees? Someone came to my island today and thought it a good idea to cut down all my banana trees, and now I have NO trees, which means NO bell making beetles =( I tried to plant a banana but it will not let me

I did, it doesn't give me the option to bury or plant, just drop on the ground or eat =(

You can! Plant & wait a few days!

Just dig a hole, face it and hit bury on the banana. If there is no bury option, you are doing it wrong.

Somewhat on this topic, do people recommend more palm style trees or less, I was thinking maybe more mean more chances for those beetles to spawn but then I saw it suggested elsewhere that having only a couple means running between them makes spawning new ones easier perhaps? I'd be willing to plant more if it helped, but didn't want to make worse rather than better XD

I'm not sure whether having less makes them spawn more, persay, but rather that having fewer palm trees means fewer places for beetles to spawn, making it easier to predict where they will be and therefore quickening the process and increasing net efficiency.
