Don't get me wrong. I love to play my Animal Crossing New Leaf game.. but what I love seeing even more are everyone's QR codes! What do you spend all your time doing on this game? Who are your favorite villagers? I want to hear the fans who enjoy this game as well!!

The Island they brought back.
PWP projects.
Lilies and Violets.
etc etc

I love decorating! I had to make a second character since I ran out of rooms to decorate with my mayor and the museum exhibits. I'll probably make a third character soon. I also love Streetpassing people at my university! It's really fun to see other people's houses and how the people I Streetpass a lot change their houses up over time.

I'm a sucker for good character customization in games myself and being able to make your own shirt design wasn't something I had seen outside of minecraft but most customization in that game gets covered by armor anyway so QR codes would have to be one of my favorite things as well.

My second favorite part would have to be the way villagers seem to have their own stories going on with each other, from strange things like Whitney's prejudice towards deer (seriously she only ever gossiped bad things about deer for a long time, no other villagers, just deer) or Rory's ugly shirt cult just laying the foundation to complex stories that we as the player only get a glimpse at. Seriously Rory is such a conformist, tries to get my entire town in his periwinkle shirt and moves to *I kid you not* an all-lion town... Seriously it was such a weird coincidence that I found someone to take him at the last-minute who needed only three more lions for a lion town and Rory just happened to be on that list.

Well, it's the fact the creation is YOURS. You can do anything that you want to do and the possibilities are endless; it sounds a little cheesy but its so true.

Especially with the unlimited support of this community, you can gain all you want. The QR codes, you can get the designs for paths you want and even get help for those exact paths. You can get cycling threads from the characters who want to help and the community is one of the points I love about this game.

I don't have a Wii U so I'm not looking forward to when the Animal Crossing Wii U comes out, as I can't get it and people might completely forget about Animal Crossing New Leaf and the cycling will stop. It's upsetting but I know I can always watch it on YouTube or something.

Also, the villagers are such a highlight. You can browse through hundreds of villagers and the creativity of them is soo cool. Like, you can tell the creators put effort into the villagers. And how they have their own stories too. The different types of them makes it special and even the SAME types can behave differently. You can see the bond that you get, as they give you more stuff. I <3 the mechanics and just simply the CUTENESS!!!!! of the villagers. I talk to them for than 4 times a day even if I dont like them!

Well, for starters it was one of my favourite games as a little kid, so coming back to it with a bit more understanding of the game is nice.

There's something new to do every single day too, that's a big one. It keeps me hooked.

The best bit for me, though, has to be the VILLAGERS! OMG! Each and every one of them is different; each is unique. Meeting each villager and befriending each villager is always a unique quest, the best part being that all important villager picture at the end. And of course, everyone has their favourites. Some are more popular than others and it's really nice to see the community helping one another to get exactly who what they want. It's truly something very special.

Also, making up little story lines for your town is such a cute and fun thing to do. Pairing villagers up, watching them hang out and trying to work out their lives makes every town truly yours and truly unique.

House decorating, landscaping, acquiring dream villagers, qr codes, and just making your town look the way you want it to )

All of the improvements in it.

Before New Leaf, I would only play every once in a while. There would be weeds everywhere in my town, and no flowerbeds or paths. I would let villagers move out, even if they were my favourites, because I didn't know how to stop them from leaving. I would upgrade my main character's house and Tom Nook's to be as big as they could be, but that was all I would do for my town. I would also TT a lot.

That all changed when I got New Leaf. I have used the improved design maker to make paths for my town. I have put flowerbeds and PWPs around my town to make it pretty. I have been playing every day for two years, watering those flowers with my silver watering can and making sure there are no weeds whatsoever. And whenever a villager tries to leave, I stop them, even if I don't like or care about them, because I don't want a new villager to move in and ruin what I have done to my town. Even if that new villager could be one of the three I grew close to in Wild World and City Folk.

And I don't plan on stopping playing anytime soon. I haven't finished working on my town yet, and I have many badges that I still need to collect.

For me, the best thing in ACNL is that you can make your town represent your inner self. I'm a rocker with a kind of gothic edge in the outside, but my inner self loves plush toys, pinkish colours and cute things in general. (Not that I'm a poser, it's just two faces of my personality). My current town, 4 Real, allows my inner self to fully showcase itself.

It's just amazing. Everything about it. I loved WW but you ran out of things to do after a while. Here there are so many different things to do with the island, so many PWPs to build, more house customization options, etc. And if you somehow manage to get bored, starting over again gives you the chance to do it all over again differently!

I love all of the holidays they added in.

Love the campsite feature and that you can go to other peoples towns to invite villagers to move in. Makes life sooo much easier. Wouldn't have my beloved Walker without it. Love that there are new personalities and so many villagers.

Love that villagers go into shops, makes the game more realistic.

Love that you can stack fruit.

LOVE the beautiful ordinance, it is LITERALLY a lifesaver.

Love the overall feel of the game, it's so nice. :)

Love AC:NL!!!

Oh gosh, it's the first Animal Crossing game I've ever played but it just has so many layers to it, like the way I originally played the game is nothing like now I play it now or how I played it even 3months ago. There's always new projects to move onto and new ways to enjoy the game!

When I first started playing I was obsessed with renovating/decorating my house and fulfilling villager requests. I'd spend hours and hours catching the bug or fish a villager wanted and hours at the island after 5pm catching beetles to bring home and sell to pay off Tom Nook. I'd let my villagers come and go, I let many villagers from the campsite go because I didn't realise if you asked them to move and they said no, I could just keep asking until they did. I'd dig up my fossils every day and eagerly run to the museum to see what I could donate.

Then came the impatient phase, I TTed constantly to get Katrina and Gracie and wanted new things for my town now now now. This I must admit, was probably the most fulfilling and exciting phase of the game for me. Now I TT much less often and focus on villager relationships, I've completed a lot of my in-game goals and have most of my dreamies so now I'm slowly working on my bug/fishing encyclopaedia and museum rooms and working on villager relationships. I've started a little bit of landscaping and have paved quite a bit of my town but I'm happy with the slow paced relaxing phase I'm in now. I don't put so much pressure on myself and as a result I can happily pave away for an hour at a time without getting impatient. It's very zen

I love being able to customize everything. Your mayor, house, town, villagers, museum etc. are all up to you. I get really obsessed with customization heavy games.

"Animal Crossing" is peaceful, humane, and comforting. It's not loud and violent. It's not aggressive. It's harmonious and engaging. It also encourages creativity. And the cast of villagers, and the town animals (with particular roles), are fun to interact with. When one applies himself/herself to developing a town and the relations with these animals…the player feels rewarded with his/her progress. And the fact that we get to check out Dream towns, to see how others have handled playing "New Leaf," makes the experience even more rich.

I love decorating aswell :) but I haven't cataloged a lot of items yet.. I also loooove landscaping :D I enjoy changing my town every now and then.. buying lots of flowers on the forum and match them with the season :D i also like visiting good dream towns to get inspired.. i like wandering around, fishing a bit and talking to my villagers.. well to be honest I like everything in animal crossing :)

I enjoy the relaxing nature of it. I mostly play for the sake of collecting everything, as well as the fun of decorating my town

I really like the fact that you can play the game in so many different ways. When I first started I really wanted to expand my house, constantly redecorate, build up my items catalog, etc. As my house got more and more complete I started focusing more on making friends with my villagers, landscaping, all that good stuff. Right now I'm refining my whole town's look and working on getting all the fish I don't have. For periods at a time I'll only play for maybe 10 mins per day to say hey to everybody and then I'll swing back to spending more time in game and it's so nice that it's just fine to play however I feel like playing.
