I actually SLEPT through it because I was asleep during 3am. I was surprised when my mom told me about it, I thought she was joking about it. And nothing tipped over in my room, so I was just surprised overall.

It was in California this morning.

I live on the east coast, but I've never experienced an earthquake this large. Hope you're okay!!

There was an earthquake? Hope everyone's okay.
You said stories, so...

I remember the one that happened before Hurricane Irene. That was my first experience. I was at the movies and it felt like someone was kicking the chair lol.

I tried experiencing a 6.2 earthquake before and it was on a no-class day, which was good because my classroom is on the 6th floor at the time of the quake. We had no classes in 3 weeks though because of it.

I've probably been through one reasonably big earthquake before and I was reaally young that time, so I've completely forgot what an earthquake felt like. I hope everyone's still safe though. :)

It was in the bay area of california. I live half an hour away from where it was centered, so we felt it pretty bad.

I've never experienced an earthquake but I hope you're okay, they seem scary.

Never felt an earthquake. Living in the east. Yes, there was that one that allegedly swept thru D.C., Boston, Ottawa, and the majority of the East Coast and the Northeast, but I never felt that.

Earthquake happend last year October and I'm pissed that theexaminations were extended until know there is aftershock so yeah anyway be careful out there :/

Apparently it's the strongest earthquake in the Bay Area since the Loma Prieta one.

I slept through the earthquake, we live quite a way from where most of the earthquake did any damage.

I was awake because I had trouble falling asleep (out of all the days it had to be this one. I jinxed it didn't i?) anyway, my bed started shaking and I thought I was just being paranoid. I've been through a couple earthquakes already and they scare the crap out of me, so I'm always feeling phantom quakes lol. but my curtains were swaying back and forth. it was pretty scary but I wasn't that close to the epicenter thankfully.

I live in Southern California so I didn't feel it.
Honestly I'm so used to earthquakes anymore that they're no longer scary.

I live in Cali was awake at that time watching movies. The curtains in my room were swaying, and the water in my cup was moving as well. Probably one of the most interesting feelings while you're just sitting there, and I started messaging my friends right away and they didn't feel it :/ To be honest, it was a really cool thing to feel xD Though, nothing in my home was damaged as I live an hour away from Napa.
Really hope everyone who was hurt or lost something during the earthquake is okay though >~< Felt kind of bad getting all excited after going on yahoo.
