Tfw a villager won't ping you to move

I was told Chrissy was thinking about moving, so I've been doing everything I can to get her to ping me.
I've talked to her completely 2 whole times and I've gone into the ocean about 5 times now.
I have a feeling she may be in boxes tomorrow and I don't need that, man.
Francine just left, too.
Have you ever had this happen to you?

Save and quit, then go find her. If she's outside she should ping you. If she's inside or doesn't ping, just save and quit again.

Yes it happens. What you can do is just quit your game (or save and quit) and restart.
Try to find Chrissy outside and walk in front of. If she doesn't ping, restart and try again. She should ping at some point!

Sometimes saving the game and starting it again a little later helps. Bob refused to ping when I heard from another villager he was moving. I saved and quit then tried a couple hours later. Then he pinged right away.

Yeah they will always ping you unless you have already said they can move

Yeah this happens quite often. It's actually what happened with Genji and why I lost him although I didn't hear a rumour off anybody I was still running in front of everybody and he never said a word. And that was after checking daily, and being on speaking terms with him so he was able to ping....he just didn't anyway, I'm glad you managed to stop her moving it can be infuriating trying to stop villagers moving out in this game sometimes
