I'm gonna be honest here. There ARE some songs that sound almost like other songs, if only by sheer coincidence.

First, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.

NEARLY one hour and six minutes in, the song that plays during the stage "The Long-Lost Ruins" begins, and believe me, the first second sounds similar to the titular lyric of the following musical number.

The songs are even the same key and tempo!

Later on (33.5 minutes) in NintenU's video, the songs "Burning Secrets" and "Volcanic Panic" (the latter remixes the former) start to play.

They, being remixes of the same basic song, have the same 5 notes that play at the same space apart. The way the notes play out and the fact that the sequence plays twice no doubt reminds people of a certain cartoon about technicolor horses with pictures of their job on their rumps doing crazy things.

Post your Suspiciously Similar Songs for your post!

Do you mean like that one Phoenix Wright music that sounds a lot like the Cheetahmen theme? They sound alike BIG TIME!

And video too if you don't get what I mean.

You small-time fanboy, we're only getting started!

Like (posting because Nintendo adopted SEGA for a tidy sum of cash) how Sonic 3 had Michael Jackson as a key composer.

Oh. I don't know what that means, so I'll get out of this thread.

Part of the Natural Killer Cyborg's battle theme sounds like the beginning of a guitar solo in "Beat It" by Michael Jackson.

Notice how Default Town Tune #1 sounds like the Mole Car transformation music from Kirby's Epic Yarn which sounds like the Hammer Brother theme from Mario 3.

Lots of people have noted the similarities between "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry and Eartbound/Mother 1's hippie battle music. This may also be paralleled in Mother 3's "Rock n' Roll- Mild/Spicy" songs.

In addition, there's Earthbound's "Battle against a weak opponent", which sounds a lot like "Tequila" by The Champs.
