Telephone Box colors?

Hello all,
I’m fairly new to AC and I’m wondering if anyone knows how to get different colored telephone boxes? It appears mine are gold with grey details and I’m needing red & also green phone boxes. I see that they aren’t customisable however I have watched videos and people seem to have multiple colors. If anyone knows how to go about this please let me know.

Well there is something you should know. Its part of the Nook Mile Shop and it depends on what color your Airport is, but its RNG. The only way to get a different color telephone box is to visit anyone's island that has the variant color you want. What sucks is that when you try to catalog it, you cannot buy it since its only on the Nook Mile shop.

You can post in the nooks cranny thread asking for the different colour variations which you can buy with the forum currency which is TBT or trade for the different colour ones with your yellow. That is how I got the colours I wanted

Yes, unfortunately the only way to get them is by trading or buying from someone else. Your island only gets one color. Same as all the other Nook Mile things - springy horse, teacups, streetlamps, etc.

Luckily many people are willing to trade or sell theirs, so getting a couple in each color shouldn't be too hard if you have Nintendo Online. I have the blue ones and managed to get red and white, but you can't order other colors even if you've catalogued it.
