I've seen people ask for advice on techs many times in this section of the forums, so why not make a thread for people to ask those types of questions? Basically ask any question you have that involves phones, computers, etc.

So, I guess I'll start off with this: My Android phone keeps telling me it's running low on memory and it's really not.. it refuses to download apps because of this. I have 23 MB available on system memory and 3 GB on SD card. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Does it do notifications to tell you when it's low? It might be a glitch with that.

I'm not really a tech expert though; that's just what I think might be wrong with it.

Flash a custom recovery onto your device. (If possible) and then make a backup of your ROM in case. Aftewards, delete the system and restore the phone via ADB with the backup on your phone. That would be the only way to clean your system.

Your 23MB of free space is what the phone can use to store misc files. If you have extra storage, that would be because it needs system space.

You could attempt to move your phone's app to an external SD card but that will require the application to be on the internal SD card as well.

I'll check it out and see if it's the first suggestion. Then, I'll do the second suggestion if the first one turns down. Thanks :)

Just bumping this so I don't clutter the forum with more tech stuffs...

I'm looking to buy a new gaming PC around/after Christmas and I don't really understand all this tech stuff, I have found a few PCs I like the look of and have shown them to my boyfriend but he just speaks technobabble so I don't know if he thinks they are good...
I don't currently know how far my budget will stretch as I am going to use my Christmas money to help pay for it, but for now we will just assume my budget is ?250-?450 (Though I have been looking at PCs priced just under ?300 just in case)

So far I have found:
ULTRA FAST Quad Core 8GB 1TB Desktop Gaming PC Computer AMD HD
VIBOX GA ? FAST AMD DUAL CORE 3.0GHz DESKTOP GAMING PC
ULTRA FAST Quad Core 8GB 1TB Desktop Gaming PC Computer AMD HD Graphics ZT3 (From a different seller to the first)
Out of these three which is the best? Or can you suggest any that are better?

Some of these come with free games, which is cool, but not highly necessary. I also have a Operating System disk already so it doesn't matter if they don't come with an OS.
If you are going to suggest different PCs please only suggest CUSTOM built PCs as, apparently, they are better designed for gaming and please don't make them too expensive!

I'm not fond of AMD so I can't really make any suggestions here. If you're not too privy to tech specs I'd stray away from building your own pc until you really get down and dirty with educating yourself about them. There's nothing like paying for a great motherboard and processor, only to find out the hookups for the GPU won't fit. Make sure you read all the information when it comes to a motherboard when you're looking for the connections for different things, and if you're planning to use anything with online play it needs to have either a wireless nic or an ethernet port on the motherboard/3rd party device.

Don't forget sound cards either.

I'm not building one myself, I'm looking for pre-built custom PCs... Knowing me I'd just touch the motherboard and it would explode! :P (Plus I don't have any time to learn how to and then build my own PC...)

The first PC on my list is from a seller my brother bought his custom PC from, so I'm more likely to trust them, but I'm looking at other sellers as some have better deals... I'm one of those people that normally just judges a PC on its case, so I'm asking around about what all the specs mean, like I would go for the Vibox one as the case is pretty and not the PC Customiser one as that one has an identical case to my brother's PC...

Basically I need a technobabble translator to tell me if those three PCs are worth the price they are listed for or help me find one that is better but at a good price...
