nintendo is not by any stretch the oldest videogame company in the world, there were dozens before it.
Actually, Nintendo started over a hundred years ago selling toys and what not.

yes it was origionally a japonese trading card company, but they didn't start making video games until the early 70s and companies like Atari and Black-Box had already been making games during late World War 2 tiems.

Well it depends how you look at it, they are the oldest comapny, but they weren't the first company in video games.

JJ is right, you can't say that Nintendo is the oldest video game company.

From all points of views, a video game company starts when they start selling video games, not when they start selling anything.

And I would argue that Nintendo isn't the same company it was back in 1889, but in fact just portion of that old company.

That's life, unfortunately.
Well, whoever made the universe made a big mistake, and has made many people very angry.
I know. I was saying: "Let the people make the universe". But, no, the "intelligent beings" insisted they should make it, and now look what happened.

:P

(P.S. I am not trying to imply any type of religion and/or theory of existence here, I am just trying to make a gag. It's much harder than it looks.

:P Also, I apologize if I have offended anyone. It was not on purpose.)

Like I said, it depends how you look at. Out of all of the companies in video games, Nintendo has been around the longest, not in video games, but all together.

Well, you've got that right, but they weren't always called Nintendo. You may need to brush up on your corporate history of Nintendo, Storm.

The company is still the company.

I beg to differ, it's wasn't the same company, it just became Nintendo Co. Limited.
