Buying TBTS? TBS? Seashells?

Looking at my profile for no particular reason I realized that I had 10 seashells, the ones under the TBTs and I was wondering how many do other people have? Should I/we start using them as currency? (I wasn't sure if this re-tail was the right forum thread to post this, but this is the trading forum so...)
How much TBT should one seashell be?
How many THE THAT are you willing to exchange for one?

I honestly don?t even know if you can exchange these, but you should be able to see the rankings of every currency. The most seashells a user on this forum has are 40 and most in the top ten have 20. I have no idea how you would even exchange them but it does not see like one can easily get more. Using them as a currency would not work well in my opinion because there is no good way to get them back and the amount of this currency on the market would be very low, which would make it extremely valuable and hard to use....

Upon joining TBT, you automatically get 10 seashells, but for some reason, I didn?t even forward a purchase and I lost all 10 seashells. I couldn?t get them back, either. However, I was inactive from TBT for a few months and when I logged on later, I had to change my password, and I noticed I gained 10 seashells. I am not sure how that happened, though. I think you can also give seashells to another user too.

That's what I mean, for example instead of paying 13TBT, 3TBT and 1 seashell

Well, with this inconsistencies they cannot be used.
