There's a lot about this site that I don't agree with in terms of mindset , rules and tones but I wanted to express my appreciation and gratitude! I thought that maybe there are others who would also like to do the same so I made this thread.
I'm honestly so impressed by the staff!!! You can really feel the effort that goes into TBT - maybe it's cause this is the 20th year? But wow... there's so many events back to back... From brainstorming events to dealing with problems that arise and organizing game hangouts, all of that is really sacrificing your time ... I'm sure it comes naturally to some of the staff members but.. I really do think it's commendable. I could not imagine doing this.
Sometimes during these events, when I see people complain about certain things (I am not guilt free of this) - I feel like people forget that the staff are people too and that they have their own lives they're juggling .. so there's bound to be mistakes and yet they have the drive to keep the site running and run another event.
(Not to say that the staff isn't ever at fault or anything like that- the choices they make is probably to reduce their own stress levels. )
It's really inspiring!!
I've had only a brief stay with the community and event section of the site but wanted to give my thanks.
