What is TBT Music Center? ( TMC )
TMC is a project that lets members of TBT share, review, and rate each others music.
How is this going to work?!
Users will pm me one of there favorite songs or the one they would like for me to share. I will "Host" a song on this page everyday and everyone will rate and review that song, for that day. The Average Rating will be found, and it will be added into the scoreboard.
How do I pm you music?
Find a uploading site that will accept MP3 files, then post the URL for me to save or play. Or, for a hassle-free way, find the Music Video on Youtube, ( or possibly a AMV with the song in it, ) and post the link for that. Also, please state the Artist and the song name, along with the link. Also, please no songs that are labeled as explicit, as this is an all ages site. Find the clean version if you really want to post it.
How should I rate songs?
You should rate someones song on a scale of 1 to 10. One being that you never want to listen to the song again, and 10, its your new favorite. If you want to rate a song, you need to listen to ALL OF IT. It may be long, but sit back and relax, if it is a video, you my minimize it Many songs tend to pick up and be better in the second half.
Also, keep these factors in your mind while rating. </big>
- Rhythm " Was your toe tapping along to the music?"
- Mellody " Was it possible to hum this song after?"
- Mood " Did the selection give a mood?" (Happy, sad, frustration, etc. )
- Lyrics " If the music had lyrics, was the message clear? "
and, if your rating/review does not have a good reason, Like...
" Lolz I just don't like Fang so I"m gonna give him a 1 on his music "
I will, how you say, VETO your rating.
More charts might come in the future, like worst song, and an "Admin's Pick" once we get rolling.
