Tarantula Tips?

Any tips on how to get a tarantula to even spawn? :/

i guess its random...i just saw one a couple weeks ago and creeped up on it and finally caught one. they come night time from what i noticed

I got so frustrated with tarantulas I cut down all the trees in my town. That forced the game to spawn more ground bugs, and yes, I did see them more often, although it was still like only 2 an hour or something like that. If that's not something you want to do, try looking for a town where someone has already done this. I hosted a few people before I re-planted trees.

i guess i've been 'lucky' enough to have more than a couple in the last week since i've started, but i always get really creeped out and don't catch them

It's sadly random. They'll just be anywhere. Let's hope not by water, because most tarantulas in my town always spawn by the river and get away lol

i used to say higher chances at ~1AM and later, but lo and behold i stumbled across one at 8something PM. i always find them when i'm not looking, and basically have found ~7 all over my town. good luck!

Run in and out of buildings so they have many chances to spawn. Enter, exit, run over town looking for a tarantula, repeat.

I have so many flowers in my town that most of my tarantulas spawn in my town plaza. Which would be fine if I remembered to carry my net each time

I got my first tarantula without looking for it, she just appeared next to my retail, but I would siggest the save and continue trick to get respawn after you have look for it and didnt found it, I used this trcik for the scorpion and found 2 tarantulas before the scorpion even appears, I think the tarantulas are more common near the cliffs, as my retail and plaza are close to the cliffs and that were I found them.

I just caught my first one the other day! it spawned near my cliff where I don't have a lot of flowers all I did was sneak up on it with my net just like any other bug. Good luck!

Most of the ones I find spawn near a patch of dirt where Boomer used to live, probably because it's the only piece of dirt with no flowers covering it all up.

Uh...don't run because it will scare the tarantula away. Don't have your net out while walking. As soon as you spot the tarantula, hold down the A button because then the tarantula will not move. Also do this in the night because that's when they come out. Good luck!

I also cut down all my trees, replanting as I went. It made it easier to see them. Also, with no trees, the game was forced to spawn only ground and air bugs, so I saw a tarantula and a scorpion every night for the three nights it took the trees to regrow.

The scorpions were ridiculously easy to catch, but those darn tarantulas knocked me unconscious every single time.

I still need one, but my town is almost in December now so it will be a whole year before I can try again.

They have a higher spawn rate after 11pm and they tend to like flowers. Often I see them near cliffs which sucks because they can fall off and die
